My journey in diving began nearly two decades ago, in 2008, driven by a passion for the underwater world and a commitment to continuously developing my knowledge and skills. What began as a passion has evolved into a professional career dedicated to diver education, safety, technical diving, and excellence in training. I became a NAUI Instructor in 2013 and have since progressed to the distinguished level of NAUI Course Director, reflecting years of professional development and a strong commitment to diver education and instructor development. Since 2021, I have also been a NAUI Technical Diving Instructor, expanding my expertise into advanced and technical diving disciplines. I have been an SSI Instructor since 2016 and currently hold the SSI Divemaster Instructor rating. In 2024, I became a PADI Instructor and subsequently added my PADI Technical Instructor qualifications, further expanding my ability to train divers across recreational and technical diving disciplines. Since beginning my diving career, I have completed more than 1,500 dives and certified over 400 divers. I have had the privilege of training students ranging from 9 years old through adulthood, from first-time divers taking their first breath underwater to experienced divers pursuing advanced, professional, and technical-level qualifications. My approach to training is built on safety, knowledge, precision, confidence, and practical diving experience. I believe effective instruction goes far beyond simply teaching a diver how to perform a skill. I focus on helping students understand why a skill is performed, how to apply it correctly, and how to make sound and responsible decisions when conditions change. Over the years, I have developed extensive experience working with different ages, abilities, experience levels, equipment configurations, and diving environments. I believe every diver is different, and effective training should recognize those differences while maintaining the highest standards of safety and competence. At Royal Marine, my goal is to provide a professional diving experience that combines internationally recognized training standards with real-world experience gained through years of diving and instruction.
